Kitchen Color

I am taking ideas and suggestions on how to accent my kitchen. It has grey and black granite countertops, black and stainless appliances and warm walnut colored cabinents and floor. SO. Here's what I'm thinkin.

Lime/Pear or chartreuse accents...with black and grey appliances.... and white dishes....

~ I like these pictures ~

Not quite like this but you get the picture of the "color" for a dishtowel or throw rug or something...
I would also like to begin a collection of WHITE DISHES for my kitchen. I already have one pretty bowl and thats it. This is another wish list item :)

So here's the dilemma...I have alot of cobalt, tomato red, yellow and teal in my kitchen - sorta going for the look below (which I love....a good ole Mexican kitchen)

I love this cobalt blue goblet - I would love to set my table with them. So dramatic! I just about love cobalt blue anything...There's nuthin better than drinking ice cold water out of a deep cobalt blue glass. This one makes my Wish List....

congrats on the new digs! personally, i'm partial to photo number 2 with the green fridge. we painted our kitchen grey, with one wall accented in black chalkboard paint. we also have white dishes. but i am also a native new mexican and my mom used to have cobalt blue glasses. i say go with your heart/first instinct and do not listen to anyone else's opinion!

I'm all about the cobalt blue, ESPECIALLY in a kitchen. In my humble opinion, it's more you than the green.

Pretty April-Friend,

I love the new place and I'm so super excited about your new car. How fancy. I think you NEED the white dishes and I also think you NEED to go out and splurge on accents like napkins and a tablecloth with that green in it. Go WILD, this is your new place and you need to make it yours. If you don't like it, have a yardsale and choose a different theme with the money. I think the cobalt blue is so you. It's fancy pants blue just like my April friend is a fancy pants.
I miss you,
Kat

I've been thinking about your kitchen. I can't help myself. What if you take vintage/old frames and paint them green and then put postcards in them. You could tie in all of your favorite colors with the art and use white matting. Also, what if you use another old frame, paint it green and put a chalkboard in it (using chalk board paint) and you can write little inspirational notes to yourself or a menu or a grocery list. You could also make magnets that went with your color scheme. OH, I'm running with this.
love you,
Kitty

p.s.
Your vintage lable prints that you had in your Hattiesburg kitchen will look so pretty in your new kitchen.

Okay, I'm off.

hugs,

Cobalt for sure but don't over-do it. Also, do you have anything mexican/rugged.. a bowl to display... a picture... a vase? Its one of those things you have to have when you see it. Love the lime/cobalt/white dish idea. think anthropologie-ish... decor from mexico. :) also... black rod iron as usual is amazing.
